Sarah Woods "Sally/Sallie" BREAZEALE (born in either North Carolina or South Carolina) was a daughter of Drury Woods Breazeale and his first wife (possibly Rhoda Baker?). She and Joseph Callender were in New Orleans by the 1850 Census and she is again in New Orleans on the 1860 census. Joseph Callender died sometime in the 1850's. Letters from Sally Callender to my 4th great grandfather, John Close, indicate that Sally and her husband, Joseph Callender, were residing at Grand Gulf, while Mary Louis Barre (a widow of Drury Woods Breazeale at the time the letter was written) was residing at her plantation at or near Port Gibson. 1840 US CENSUS No township listed, Claiborne County, Mississippi; Series: M704 Roll: 213 Page: 74 Callender, Jos.
