My Interests

Most of the sites I manage are related to genealogy. I started volunteering for USGenWeb in 1999 by formatting and uploading the infamous Texas Vital Records in the TXArchives. I am the file manager there for
Rusk County, Texas, Rusk County's
Cemetery Photographs and I also have
Arkansas and co-manage
New Mexico.

I got really lucky a few years ago and was asked to coordinate
Rusk County for TXGenWeb.

In my Internet travels, I met Bettie Wood who asked me to manage a couple of states for her Family Group Sheet Project.
I started in Texas, created one for Arkansas, and then accepted
Alaska and
Washington, DC. I recently added
Virginia and
South Carolina to that lineup.

I have just created a new website to aid in locating missing tombstones -
Tombstones - Lost & Found.

In addition to this site,
An Armstrong & A Heffernan, I have one more genealogy page called
Genlists. It's a study on the surnames MELLEN, HEFFERNAN, BRAZZIL, and SENN, Milam County, Texas, and genealogical interest in Huntington's Disease.

I have also helped with the Marriage Project and coordinated a few other counties.

In my private life, I am a fancier of Irish wolfhounds. They're extremely huge dogs, built like a greyhound but with shaggy hair and MUCH taller.
I have a web site for my first wolfhound
Mannanan MacLir and one for my hearthound
Mighty Oak. I now have sites for my puppies
Sassy Sweetgum and
Tous les Jour and for my dachshund
Willow Stump. Since I wanted to learn to show my dogs, I joined
Longview Kennel Club and subsequently created their page.

I manage my Dad's web site
Down on the Farm, one for my husband,
Tinwhistle's Place, and created one for my son
American Badass. I think that's all of them. Whew! I didn't realize there were so many. No wonder I spend all my time at this computer.

In addition, I manage three web rings: the
Irish Wolfhound Web Ring at Ringsurf, the
Irish Wolfhound Ring at WebRing and the
Armstrong Family Ring at Ringsurf.
