The 1857 Territorial census was enumerated 25 Dec and John is recorded as age 7 months, making him born in about April or May 1857.

He married a Korean girl and has a baby girl one year old. I am 65 now, drawing old age pension - tell Robert it doesn't go far. (he and I used to talk about what we would do with our pensions.)
